The second edition of the African Climate Summit came to a close yesterday, Wednesday September 10, in Ethiopia. Under the theme, “Accelerating global climate solutions: financing Africa’s resilient and green development”, the meeting resulted in several announcements.
Raise $50 billion a year in financing to promote climate solutions. This is the new ambition set by African countries at the end of the second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2), held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from September 8 to 10.
This financial target is part of a broader initiative to set up two organizations, the African Climate Fund and the African Climate Innovation Pact.
