This is organic waste that can be relatively easily converted into fuel, fertilizer, biochar, ecological coal or biogas. They may be dispersed in households or concentrated on agricultural and/or agri-food sites.

These wastes represent more and more important volumes since the advent of smartphones in particular. Recycling channels are still generally informal in Africa.

The development of infrastructures (buildings, roads, common and/or individual residences) generates more and more important construction residues that must be treated. Management techniques exist to add value while reducing their impact on the environment.

Newspapers, magazines, advertising flyers, office papers, shoe boxes, yoghurt wrappers…represent large quantities of materials that are very little recycled in Africa, even though in recent years, sorting and recycling techniques have evolved considerably. The recovery of cardboard and paper saves resources and energy, and therefore preserves the environment.

One of the scourges of our century, a major cause of ocean pollution! This waste is now a central concern of environmental protection policies. Plastic waste can be used for various construction applications (bricks, paving stones, tiles, benches, etc.)
