As an extension of the ecological transition efforts already underway, the Kingdom continues to deploy its arsenal of green financial instruments, in partnership with the European Union on the one hand, and Moroccan financial institutions on the other.

On May 15, 2025, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the EU and Canada officially granted Bank of Africa the PFEV III Morocco loan, worth 70 million euros (around 736 million dirhams). This acronym stands for “Programme de Financement de l’Économie Verte” and is one of several key initiatives between Morocco and the EBRD.
