Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Festus Mogae, Hailemariam Desalegn Boshe and Mahamadou Issoufou, are calling for the urgent implementation of biodiversity conservation measures on the continent in order to halt the environmental disaster it is facing. The four former heads of state made this plea at the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN), held in Dakar, Senegal, September 12-16, 2022.
