30% of Liberia’s financing needs could be covered by internal resources. The country is counting on increased external support and alternative financing solutions to implement its development plan.

This Thursday, April 17, 2025, the Liberian government launches its first Development Partners Retreat (DPR) in Monrovia, with the aim of mobilizing $8.3 billion to finance its 2025-2029 national development plan, dubbed the Arrest Agenda for Inclusive Development ( AAID).

Under the theme “Strengthening partnerships to implement Liberia’s National Plan – AAID”, the meeting aims to consolidate strategic alliances, align national priorities and explore innovative financing mechanisms.
