The Egyptian government and the EIB’s development arm agree to use a 21 million euro EU grant to decarbonize the national economy and promote recycling. This grant is part of an Egyptian initiative to promote green industry, which EIB Monde is also supporting with a €135 million loan. The development arm of the European Investment Bank (EIB Monde) and Egypt have signed an agreement to use a 21 million euro grant to support the ecological transition of the Egyptian economy. The grant, financed by the European Union and managed by BEI Monde, aims to accelerate the efforts of Egypt’s private and public sectors to decarbonize and promote environmental sustainability.
