Since 2021,the PROFIT project (Promotion de Filières agricoles Territorialisées) has been operating in 2 villages in the District (Adattié, Abiaté 2) to develop sustainable family farming with an agro-ecological approach.

Agro-ecology is a lever for combating poverty and food insecurity by creating or maintaining better-paid agricultural jobs capable of ensuring the food sovereignty of populations,” explains Camille MOULENE, Agrisud’s representative in Côte d’Ivoire.

Implemented by Agrisud and its partners, including the Autonomous District of Abidjan (DAA), this project aims to improve local production of vegetables and manioc (in quantity and quality) to meet the needs of the District’s population. After the pilot phase, the aim is to extend these practices to other villages.
