From April 21 to 25, 2025, the regional agro-hydro-climatic seasonal forecasting forum (PRESASS), held in Bamako (Mali), brought together experts in climatology, hydrology and agriculture to draw up key rainy season forecasts.

The findings, which are crucial for agricultural management and food security in West Africa, point to a 2025 season marked by major climatic hazards, including rainfall variations and flood risks.

The experts gathered in Bamako shared a variety of forecasts for the different regions of West Africa and the Sahel.
