Reinforcing Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2063 and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises: effective implementation of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions.

The Africa Sustainable Development Report 2024 (ASDR) examines the state of implementation of Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2063 in Africa; and proposes policy recommendations to facilitate their realization. As in previous years, the 2024 report is aligned with the theme and corresponding Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the High-Level Political Forum for Sustainable Development (HLPF) selected for a given year. In this context, the SDGs examined by HLPF 2024 focus on eradicating poverty (Goal 1); ending hunger (Goal 2); combating climate change (Goal 13); promoting peaceful societies (Goal 16) and strengthening global partnerships (Goal 17). Each SDG is analyzed in relation to the corresponding goal of the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
