The Africa Sustainable Development Report 2025 examines the state of implementation of Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2063 in Africa and proposes policy recommendations to facilitate their realization. The 2025 edition focuses on health and well-being (Goal 3); gender equality (Goal 5); decent work and economic growth (Goal 8); aquatic life (Goal 14) and strengthening global partnerships (Goal 17).

The report highlights that Africa is making progress on 12 of the 17 SDGs, but that the current pace is insufficient to achieve the SDGs by 2030. The document provides in-depth analysis and key recommendations for urgent implementation to get African countries back on track towards building the “Africa we want”.
