Through its 2022 Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), Côte d’Ivoire has declared its intention to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the energy, waste and agriculture sectors by 13.2 million tonnes. This corresponds to a 10.5% reduction in total national GHG emissions in 2030 compared with the reference scenario. In addition to its NDC, the country is a member of the Global Methane Pledge, which aims to reduce global anthropogenic methane emissions by at least 30% below 2020 levels by 2030.
