The African Circular Economy Alliance (ACEA) calls for coordinated action to better promote the circular economy. The Annual General Meeting, which opened yesterday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is intended as a platform for dialogue to align current initiatives, harmonize policy approaches and create a shared vision for regional development of the circular economy.

The Annual General Meeting of the African Circular Economy Alliance (Acea) seeks to promote the alignment of national, regional and continental circular economy initiatives. This, in order to foster coherence, dynamic mobilization (political and technical) to implement national circular economy roadmaps in line with the African Union recommendation, exploration of the role of regional institutions and frameworks in stimulating industrialization and the integration of the circular economy into African value chains.
