“Biosphere reserves” are all living laboratories in which people and nature learn to coexist. Four pilot sites in Africa bear witness to the good results of this approach.

While the relationship between humans and nature is constantly changing, today we are witnessing major ecological and climatic changes that affect us all. In this context, we must develop new concepts and find solutions, turn away from practices that are well anchored in our lives to move towards a world that is more respectful of the environment, and therefore of ourselves.
