The country has become the very first in the world to integrate industrial biochar production into its climate and sustainable development strategy, environmentalists said.

It should be noted that Cameroon is home to part of the Congo forest, which is the second largest carbon sink on the planet. Sequestering more carbon than it produces, the country is nonetheless suffering the full impact of climate change.
