The latest report from the Global Solar Council (GSC) reveals that 23 GW of new solar photovoltaic capacity is expected to be installed over the next four years in Africa. However, access to low-cost financing remains a major obstacle to African countries realizing this potential. Removing this obstacle will be crucial to achieving the world’s climate and sustainable development goals, believes the GSC.
The African solar sector is gaining momentum, with annual installations set to grow by 42% by 2025, according to a new report published by the World Solar Council (GSC), in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) and with the support of GET.invest.
