“Renewable energies and youth empowerment: building sustainable alternatives”. It was under this theme that the 3ᵉ edition of Africa Green Week (AGW) was held, from September 25 to 27, 2025, in Koudougou (Burkina Faso). The event was intended as a response to the dual urgency facing Africa: accelerating its energy transition and offering new prospects to a committed youth in search of sustainable solutions. In Burkina Faso, as in many other parts of Africa, young people face immense challenges: unemployment, poverty, the effects of climate change.
Africa Green Week 2025 was therefore a forum for exchange, learning and, above all, action. “Renewable energy is not just a technical issue, but a real opportunity for social and economic transformation. Every solar panel installed, every circular economy project, every innovation carried out by a young entrepreneur is a stone added to the edifice of a green, prosperous and inclusive Africa”, explained the initiator, Bélélé William Jérôme Bationo.
