ABC aims to facilitate the construction and installation of 50,000 small-scale biodigesters by the end of 2025. This will mean access to energy for at least 250,000 people. It will also reduce annual CO2-equivalent emissions by over 180,000 tonnes.

To achieve its objectives, ABC focuses on:

  • Improving the end-user business case by increasing the value of organic fertilizers. We do this in cooperation with existing agricultural programs;
  • Greater access to financing for end-users and businesses;
  • Increased focus on strengthening biogas businesses and the business case for biogas. We do this through business development services and results-based financial incentives;
  • Increased support for suppliers of prefabricated biogas technology. This helps suppliers to penetrate markets and develop their business.
