Heads of state and government, climate scientists, private sector leaders, representatives of civil society and youth, and global development partners will gather in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s vibrant capital and headquarters of the African Union, for the second African Climate Summit (AEC2). This is not a symbolic gathering. This is a declaration of Africa’s intent, an opportunity to unleash a wave of high-return investment, and a potential turning point in the way the world tackles the climate crisis.
