Recently launched, the European project H2020 EWA-BELT<\/a> (2020-2024) tackles the “Improvement of agricultural systems in East and West Africa”. In addition to IRD and CIRAD, the consortium* behind the initiative brings together universities, research institutes, NGOs, companies and other partners from Europe and Africa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Faced with the threats posed by climate change to agricultural resources, it is urgent to find solutions to meet the needs of farming communities. Encouraging the circulation of experiences between three West African and three East African countries, EWA-BELT ?<\/sup> represents a veritable \u201cbelt\u201d of exchanges between the different African agricultural systems.<\/p>\n
