An important report has been published on Nigeria by IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency), which we echo by highlighting the lessons and assumptions on agriculture. In Senegal, the news focused on the official visit this weekend of the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury who inaugurated a rural electrification project carried out by a U.S. company as part of the major Power Africa project. Senegal has a national electrification rate of 76% according to the Minister of Energy Sophie Gladima Siby. Finally, still in the news for a week, the project of the Kenyan developer PowerGen with InfraCo Africa to develop mini-grids in Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n
