Increasingly criticized by civil society organizations and the media around the world, forest carbon offsets can play an important role in the current climate crisis. This is essentially the message of the recent release of the Center for International Forestry Research and World Agroforestry (CIFOR), which warns against abandoning forest carbon offset schemes such as REDD+.<\/p>\n
